- Comment: "Absolute Extinction is a vanilla-compatible megawad for Ultimate Doom. It features 24 levels, replacing the original three episodes; please note that there are no replacements for the secret levels. I chose to skip them because I wanted to focus on the main maps and avoid burning myself out during the process. One thing to keep in mind is that five maps I previously released were reused in this wad (check the maplist for details). Some of them were retextured and tweaked, while others received something closer to a 'remake.'. These maps are clearly influenced by classic id Software levels, although they don’t try to copy their style completely. They do, however, keep the themes and the typical monsters of each episode."
